More Fall and Winter 2002

I found a pumpkin, so made a very silly jack-o-latern. I'm sure it scared all the Swedes who saw it.
Much better view of the jack-o-latern. I figured out how to turn the flash off the camera.
My favorite little girl had her birthday.

She's trying very hard to read the card.
Alva helps her blow spit all over the birthday cake. Yummy, yummy. I wish I would have known there was a chocolate cake in the fridge that would soon be on offer.
Mike gets to carve the Thanksgiving turkey that I slaved away to cook. It was super yummy too, thanks to lots of butter stuck under the skin and lots of basting with herbed olive oil.
My dream finally starts to come true! I prepare my pastry bag for a night of Gingerbread House Fun (called pepparkakorhuset in Swedish).
I work hard to piece together the house. By the way, the frosting is completely nasty! It had vinegar in it. Ewwwww.
The completed project! It wasn't quite my dream come true, but it was close enough. We only had fake M&Ms to decorate with, so that stifled the creativity a bit. Especially since the little girls wanted all the candies and I felt bad taking any. How can a grown-up take candy from a baby?
