Trip to Germany

Here I am at the fountain in front of one of the famous churches. I think it was Saint Micheal's, but I could be wrong.
This has to be the ugliest building in Germany. It is less than 100 years old since it was built in 1904. It is the "new" townhall and home to the Glockenspeil, a little play up at the top of it every day.
Mike in front of the statue of Max Joseph, one of the few scholarly leaders of Munich. He would surely be disappointed to know he is only remembered for introducing Oktoberfest.

Mike in front of a lovely statue in the royal palace. I believe it is Perseus cutting off Medusa's head.

Another view from the top of the science museum.
What you see when you enter the most bizarre hotel room of all time.
The ladder/staircase leading up to the bathrooom. After walking up 129 steps just to get to your room, the last thing you want to do is climb this ladder to get to the bathroom.
At the top of the ladder thing you find a very icky chair. It was some gross crushed velvet or something.
The hotel offers all the usual amenities. . ie a shower for an extra price. Don't worry, Mike has his clothes on under there.
It's a long drop down if you fall out the window. Did I mention that our hotel had no elevator?
A famous church right next to the foutain I was standing by. It was built by local workers in just 26 years. Their only payment was little statues of themselves embedded in the ceiling.
