Annica, me and Bjorn sitting on the couch with our birthday finery on. My mom sent a bunch of birthday party supplies, so that gave us a good excuse to wear the silly hats. |
| The big moment: I managed to blow out all the candles in one breath, but I can't remember what I wished for. | ![]() |

Mike and his niece. She's dressed like an Easter witch, a Swedish tradition. The kids go door to door begging for candy on the Thursday before Easter. Mike isn't sure of the exact tradition, but thinks it has something to do with the witches going to a meeting with a devil. |
| I had to get a picture of these feathers that they put on branches at Easter time. When I saw them selling feathers in packages at the store I thought they were selling sex toy type stuff. Whoops! I'm not exactly sure what the feathers symbolize, but I think it has something to do with spring and renewal and all that stuff. | ![]() |

I first saw one of these witches when I first moved here, and just thought Annica was *really* early for Halloween. When I said I would like to get a Halloween witch like that, she looked at me like I was crazy and said it was an Easter witch. I still think it would make a great Halloween decoration. It is just weird to see them hanging all around at Easter time. |
